In the early 1960s, on Tongmu Old Street in Shangli, western Jiangxi, a legacy began in a few earthen houses with just a paper knife and five young apprentices. The crisp sound of the blade slicing through red paper was the most persistent rhythm of the era, shaping the earliest days of Jinping. In 1967, the Tongmu Commune pooled its resources, and the "Tongmu Commune Firecracker Factory" officially hung its sign at Cishantang. Inside those rustic halls, a dedicated group used the most fundamental methods to send the sharp, joyful sounds of firecrackers echoing across the region.

In 1972, the warm breeze of Sino-US diplomatic relations reached our small town. The factory was renamed the "Tongmu Export Firecracker Factory," casting its sights across the ocean for the first time. In 1981, Japanese merchants brought samples of "Silver Sparklers." Our master craftsmen worked tirelessly through the nights, repeatedly testing and refining until those foreign fireworks successfully ignited in their hands. In 1985, our "Flower Butterfly" product earned the prestigious title of High-Quality Product from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fishery. That same year, a young Qin Binwu stepped into the workshop, dedicating his youth to this dazzling industry. The Canton Fair became our window to the world, and by 1987, our production value had surpassed 2.2 million RMB.

In 1997, during a wave of economic restructuring, Qin Binwu took the helm of the newly named "Tongmu Jinping Export Firecracker Factory." Driven by a vision to modernize, he made the bold decision at the turn of the millennium to relocate operations to a sprawling 500-mu (approx. 82-acre) site in Maling. This monumental move marked our transition from a traditional workshop into a modern enterprise. Aligning with China's entry into the WTO, the company officially became "Pingxiang Jinping Fireworks Manufacturing Co., Ltd.," positioning itself to lead the industry’s global expansion.

Since the early 2000s, Jinping Fireworks has rapidly expanded its global footprint. We quickly achieved ISO certification and won a National Gold Award, establishing quality and responsibility as our core pillars. In recent years, we have earned prestigious titles including "National High-Tech Enterprise," "SRDI Enterprise," and the "Mayor's Quality Award." In 2020, our breathtaking displays at the World Fireworks Convention cemented our status as a "Leading Global Premium Fireworks Enterprise," and our founder was officially recognized as a Provincial Inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Today, operating a massive 1,500-mu facility, Jinping’s story continues to be an epic fusion of time-honored craftsmanship and modern innovation.
